The Italian Society of OLMC had a beautiful Mass on Thursday, June 13, 2013 in honor of St. Anthony of Padua.

According to the publication Magnificat, he was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and joined the Canons Regular of St. Augustine. However, after ordination transferred to the Friars Minor and spread the word of God in Africa.

St Anthony had his greatest success preaching in France and Italy and converting heretics. He was the first member of his order to teach theology to his brethren. Approximately 100 parishioners attended the Italian celebration led by our multi-lingual Pastor, Msgr. Sean G. Ogle. At the conclusion of Mass, as is tradition, each parishioner was given bread.
